Diwali is the ultimate Indian festival of lights, celebrations, gatherings and off course eating sweets and savories for a week long. And if you had also been part of the making process then you have been gorging on it by default for the last 15 days! Once the festivities are over, then sinks in all the possible guilt on the planet, and then begins the blame game! I ate because I was served and the likes. whatever the story, here is a quick detox recipe which is healthy, vegan and quite a cleanser at the same time due to its fibre content. It is also imperative to avoid nut butters during a detox.Try using a lot of seeds high in omega 3 for ease of digestion and fibre build up in the body. Well, you do not have to use your brain cells at all, here is a detox pudding recipe for you and all those who binged because of you 😉

Ingredients

For the nut-milk

1/2 cup mixed – Almonds,

1 tbsp flax seeds,

1 tbsp sesame seeds,

2- 3 walnut kernels

1 tbsp sunflower seeds

½ avocado, stones and roughly chopped

Juice of ½ lemon

1 tbsp maple syrup

3 tbsp warm water

 

For the pudding

1 cup coconut water

3 tbsp chia seeds

Chopped almonds

 

Method:

In a grinder, toss in all the ingredients for making the nut-milk

Run this into a smooth and fine paste.

Do not strain.

In a bowl, mix coconut water, blended nut-milk mix, chia seeds.

Allow this to steep for an hour.

Scoop and serve with chopped almonds and some extra maple if required.
